Africa is a continent of amazing diversity.
Africa is a continent of amazing diversity. It’s home to over 1 billion people, more than any other continent in the world. Africa boasts some of the oldest civilizations on earth and has produced some of history’s greatest leaders, artists, writers and musicians.
Africa also has an incredible variety of landscapes: from deserts to rainforests; mountains to savannahs; lakes and rivers; rivers that run dry during the dry season (known locally as “canyons”). The animals found here are equally diverse–from elephants and lions to rhinos and hippos–you’ll find them all here!
Kenya
If you want to see the Great Rift Valley, it’s best to go in Kenya. The Great Rift Valley is a huge crack that runs through Africa and has caused many volcanoes to form. Some of these volcanoes include Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya. You can also visit Nairobi National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Bogoria National Reserve and Menengai Crater while you are there!
The Masai Mara is another great place for safaris in Kenya because it has an abundance of wildlife such as elephants and lions roaming around freely without fences separating them from tourists like some other parks do (which makes me sad). There are also lots of hippos at Lake Victoria which I guess isn’t really surprising since they live near water anyway but still cool nonetheless!
South Africa
South Africa has many different landscapes, including mountains and deserts. The country has two oceans–the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean–which means that there are plenty of beaches to go swimming in. South Africa has the largest population of elephants in Africa and is also home to some of the largest lions in the world!
Tanzania
Tanzania is the best place in Africa to go on safari. It has some of the best National Parks and game reserves in Africa, including:
- The Serengeti National Park – This national park is home to over 2 million wildebeest and zebras, as well as lions, elephants and cheetahs. The Great Migration takes place here every year between June and October when millions of animals migrate across Tanzania’s plains.
- Ngorongoro Crater – This volcanic caldera was formed by an eruption 50,000 years ago that left a huge crater filled with wildlife such as black rhinos, hippos, hyenas and leopards! You can also climb Mount Kilimanjaro which is Africa’s highest peak at 5884 meters above sea level!
- Lake Manyara National Park & Selous Game Reserve – Both these parks have tremendous biodiversity but are also very accessible for tourists looking for an adventure close to Arusha city center or Dar es Salaam port city respectively where most international flights land into Tanzania from Europe/America etc..
Go on a safari in Africa.
If you’re looking for an adventure, then going on safari in Africa is the way to go. You can see all sorts of wildlife and landscapes, as well as meet people from different cultures.
Safaris have been around since the 1800s, when European explorers first brought back stories about “the wild.” And since then they’ve only gotten better–more exciting, more thrilling and more fun!
Conclusion
I hope this article has inspired you to go on safari in Africa. It’s an amazing experience that can’t be missed!
