Contact Us: Reach the Brainnewfield Travel Desk

Email

The fastest way to reach us is email at [email protected]. We read every message Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and we reply within one business day. We are a small team, so please keep it short and specific.

Write to us

Prefer a form? Use the one below. We ask for your name, email and message, then we route it to the right editor. You will see a confirmation message once it sends, so you know it arrived.

What to include

Tips: name the place and attach proof or a booking receipt. Corrections: send the page URL and a source. Pitches: tell us your trade, your angle and whether you can supply original photos. We do not accept guest posts with paid links, as set out by the US FTC.

Response times

We are a small desk, so we batch email twice a day. Messages that arrive before noon usually get an answer the same afternoon. Anything sent at the weekend waits until Monday morning.

If your note is urgent and time sensitive, put URGENT in the subject line and say what deadline you are working to. We will do what we can if a trip is booked and a plan has changed.

Press and partnerships

Brands, hotels and tourist boards can reach us for factual questions. We will not promise coverage and we will not run pre-written copy. If a partnership is paid it is clearly labelled as advertising before a reader clicks.

For media requests, tell us the outlet, the deadline and the exact questions. We answer press emails after reader emails, because readers come first.

Reader tips that help most

The best emails are specific. A restaurant that closed, a fare that dropped, a bus that no longer runs, a room that looked nothing like the photos. Name the place and the date and attach a photo if you can, and we can act on it.

Please do not send long suggestions for topics we already cover. Check the sitemap first and mention the article you mean. It saves everyone a round of messages.

Before you write

Many questions are answered in the guides themselves. Start with the key facts box and the sections on costs and timing. If something is still unclear, ask away and include the link so we know where the gap is.

We are happy to help, and we read every message. We just cannot plan your whole trip for you, so keep it to one clear question where you can.

How we keep in touch

Beyond one-to-one email we publish a weekly newsletter. It carries the guides from the past seven days and nothing else, so it stays short. You can join from the footer of any page and leave with a single click.

We do not run a comment section, because it is hard to keep clean and easy for a small team to neglect. If you want to respond to a piece, email works better and we read all of it.

Working with the team

Freelance writers, photographers and fixers are welcome to pitch. Tell us the place, the story and why you are the right person to tell it. Send a couple of lines, not a full draft, and let us come back to you first.

We reply to every serious pitch, even when the answer is no. If a story is not right for us now, it may be right for us in another season, so keep the idea in your notebook.
